While this article brands Young a universalist, that is a label he would refuse to wear, for he technically believes that Christ is the only way to salvation. Young is a universal or ultimate reconciliationist. He believes that through Christ alone, all men will be saved, including Judas Iscariot, Hitler, and unrepentant child molesters who use and then murder their innocent victims, and then live and die without remorse. That’s Young’s god- the god of The Shack.
