When one looks with spiritual vision upon the cross, and the price that Jesus paid for the plan of redemption to be carried out in human history, no scandal could be so great, no failure so dismal, no hope so tragically aborted, than that human history should come to its consummation with the church in her current state. You can bet history will finish with Jesus receiving the joy that was set before Him when He endured the cross, and that joy is that He might have a glorious church without spot or wrinkle, that Zion will be established, and once again, be a praise in the Earth. Christ paid the price, and therefore, we are destined to be a church worthy of the cross that He bore. We are destined to be the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ, filled with all the fullness of Him who fills all things. As He is, so we will be in the Earth.
Now, in light of the vision of that cross, and the price that Christ was willing to pay, can you imagine what colossal purifying processes Christ will be willing to bring to bear upon the Earth and upon His people in order to get us to our destiny, and to make us worthy of the cross that He bore? We are in for quite a ride, and the great falling away is about to begin. Just as the flood waters of Noah carried away a people unprepared, and at the same time lifted a chosen few to the heights of Mt. Ararat, so, in like manner, in the days that close this age and usher in the coming of the Son of man, the waves of the raging of the nations, casting up the foam of their shame, will lift to heights unfathomed those who have run into Christ as their ark of safety, and who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.” And they shall be called The Holy People, The Redeemed of the LORD (Is. 62:11, 12).
powerful, seeing Noah and his family as a remnant, lifted above the chaos and set as seed for the coming generations!
